AI Policy

Please read these terms & conditions carefully.

SDI is committed to the responsible, ethical, and transparent use of artificial intelligence across our operations, client engagements, and technology-enabled procurement and workforce solutions. We recognize the transformative potential of AI, and we are equally committed to ensuring it is applied in a manner that upholds trust, protects individuals, and aligns with our broader governance, risk, and compliance standards.

I. Core Principles

  • Accountability and Oversight
AI systems are subject to human oversight. Responsibility for decisions supported by AI remains with SDI personnel. Clear ownership is defined for all AI-enabled processes to ensure appropriate governance and escalation where needed.
  • Transparency and Explainability
We strive to use AI systems in a way that is understandable and appropriately explainable to stakeholders. Where AI influences decisions, we aim to ensure that the rationale can be articulated and documented.
  • Fairness and Non-Discrimination
SDI is committed to minimizing bias in AI systems. We take steps to assess and mitigate potential discriminatory outcomes, ensuring that AI applications support equitable treatment across suppliers, clients, and individuals.
  • Privacy and Data Protection
AI solutions must comply with applicable data protection laws and internal data governance standards. Personal and sensitive data is handled with care, with appropriate safeguards to prevent misuse, unauthorized access, or unintended exposure.
  • Security and Risk Management
AI systems are integrated into our broader information security and risk management frameworks. We assess potential risks associated with AI use, including data integrity, model reliability, and cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
  • Responsible Use and Purpose Limitation
AI is used to augment, not replace, professional judgment. Its use must be aligned with legitimate business purposes and must not be applied in ways that could cause harm, mislead stakeholders, or compromise ethical standards.

II. Client and Supplier Considerations

In client engagements, SDI is transparent about the role of AI in delivering services. We ensure that AI-enabled insights are validated and contextualized by our teams. We also encourage responsible AI practices across our supplier ecosystem, particularly where AI tools are used in procurement or workforce-related processes.

III. Continuous Improvement

AI governance is an evolving area. SDI is committed to regularly reviewing and enhancing this policy in line with emerging regulations, industry standards, and best practices, including guidance from organizations such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

IV. Contact and Accountability

Questions regarding this policy or the use of AI within SDI can be directed to our governance or compliance teams. We are committed to addressing concerns and ensuring that AI is used responsibly, safely, and in a manner that reflects our values.
