What is your role at SDI?
My current role is Senior Manager in SDI’s Project Management Organization (PMO), where I drive the implementation of internal SDI projects that help our company move forward, mainly from a technological standpoint.
Given the SDI’s multiclient portfolio and product mix, it is essential to operate high-end e-procurement solutions; that is what we are trying to build in our organization.
What drew you to a career in Procurement?
I think it is fair to say it was a recommendation from a friend. I honestly need to admit I have never dreamt of working in Procurement.
However, back in the days when I started my career, it did fit the conditions I had for my first job – talking to people from various departments, evaluating and analyzing purchases and suppliers, presenting results of the work, etc. Those are all the things I liked to do before, and I keep on enjoying it today in both professional and personal life.
What attributes do you most value in people?
There are tons of attributes that I value or admire. From the top of my head, I can certainly say honesty, respectfulness, authenticity, knowledge, and reliability.
What are your most useful and your most useless talents?
For the most useless one, I think I am always able to find something positive in all situations. Normally, people around me do not like this talent.
On the other side, I think I am good at reading people and foreseeing their expectations.
Tell me a fun fact about yourself
During Covid times, I learnt how to solve Rubik’s cube under 3 minutes but forgot how to do it since then.
