Carmen Castillo
President and CEO, SDI International
Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to accomplish big things. I was a dreamer! And being a business owner has always piqued my curiosity. When I visited the USA for the first time, I noticed that the USA offers more opportunities than any other country. That visit was in 1990, when technology and the Internet were starting and rapidly booming. Globalization
was the word of the decade!
That was the seed of creating SDI. Technology was here to stay and change our lives forever. I knew then that starting a business to take advantage of that boom was a
great opportunity. I also knew that designing SDI to become a global player from its inception was the right direction. To this day, I believe it has been the best business decision I have made.
My business, my passion for it, and especially the outstanding group of individuals I work with and help with their successful careers. Also, it is my responsibility to help my family and closest friends in any way possible.

I’ve been blessed to meet so many incredible people who have positively influenced this world. My motivation is to do the same. I have committed a significant amount of time to helping organizations such as Concordia, NMSDC, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and WBENC to help my business community.
