What drew you to a career in Procurement Operations?
I was initially drawn to Procurement Operations because of its strategic importance in managing costs, optimizing supply chains, and nurturing robust supplier and client relationships.
I found the blend of analytics, negotiations, and strategic planning fascinating and knew it was a field where I could make a tangible impact on business outcomes.
Which one of SDI’s values do you best align with and why?
Among SDI’s values, I align closely with SDI’s value of “Excellence in Service.” I believe in setting high standards, continuously improving processes, and delivering exceptional results. This value resonates with my commitment to driving efficiency, innovation, and value creation in all aspects of procurement operations.
SDI has also given me the chance to step outside my comfort zone and take on responsibilities I might not have had elsewhere. The professional growth and empowerment I’ve experienced here are what convinced me to stay, far beyond what initially brought me to SDI.
What have you achieved in your career that you are most proud of?
One of the most fulfilling achievements in my career was leading a cross-functional team to streamline procurement processes, resulting in substantial cost savings and stronger client relationships.
This project required strong collaboration across teams, effective process improvements and a deep understanding of market dynamics. This initiative not only enhanced efficiency but also contributed to the company’s bottom line.
What would you like to have accomplished in 5 years?
In the next five years, our goal is to establish our company as a globally recognized leader in procurement services, known for excellence, innovation, and reliability.
As the Director of Procurement Operations, our ongoing focus will be to continue working to achieve a high level of client satisfaction by consistently delivering high-quality procurement services, exceeding client expectations, and building long-term partnerships.
